Management Team

Julio Gesklin, President and CEO

Julio is a tooling mechanical engineer with more than 30 years of experience who is recognized as one of the best in the industry.

Julio worked his way up from a full time tool and die apprentice in Argentina, through journeyman and ultimately to Chief Tool Engineer at P. K. tool Manufacturing Company in Chicago in 1974. In 1978 Julio started his own company and through several mergers and acquisitions evolved as Chief Operating Officer of Craftsman Custom Metals from 1990 to 1996, growing the company from $8MM to $30MM. In 1997 Flex Tek Components, Inc. purchased Craftsman and hired Julio as Executive Vice President of Engineering and Technology. In 2001 Julio purchased the assets of Craftsman back from Flex Tek and resumed operations as President and CEO. Julio has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from University of Buenos Aires in Argentina.

Eric Siegal, Vice President of Sales

Eric has over 15 years experience in sales and sales management in the sheet metal stamping and fabrication industry. Eric has been with CCM since 2007. His deep understanding of his customers markets and needs yielded strong, long lasting relationships with his clients.

Eric attended Columbia College where he studied Product Design. His business background has been selling to the Medical Diagnostic and Instrument industries, as well as, Telecommunication, Defense, Appliance, Gaming and Recreational Industries. Eric also has extensive experience selling as a tier 2 supplier to the Automotive Industry.

Jack Brewer, Quality Manager

Jack brings with him 20 years of progressively responsible metal manufacturing Quality experience in a variety of industries. His career has centered on fabricated metal, machining, stamping, injection mold and electronic assemblies with quality certifications including CQT, CQA and Six Sigma.

Jack’s experience also encompasses the QS9000, ISO9001 and TS16949 quality systems and is charged with completion of CCM’s ISO-13485 certification for the design and manufacture of medical devices by the end of 2012.

Evelio Almanza, Director of Cell Operations

Evelio has been with CCM for over 11 years after joining the company in 1997 and has a total of over 20 years of manufacturing and management experience.

Working in the cellular environment for over 10 years, Evelio has been certified in JIT, Kan Ban and Lean Manufacturing concepts. Evelio has succeeded in developing a workmanship certification program for the direct labor team to establish standards relating to organizational performance metrics.

Evelio strives to develop strong, direct relationships with his customers in an effort to provide the level of service and responsiveness that enables them to meet the needs of their organization.

Originally from Central Mexico, Evelio came to Chicago with his family in 1980 and attended college here in Chicago.

Renée Adam, Purchasing Manager

Renée joined the CCM team in 2002. She worked in Accounting, Quality and Purchasing departments which led her to become the company’s Purchasing Manager in 2007. While working at CCM, Renée earned her BA in Business Management from Roosevelt University in 2007. Renée is also a member of the American Purchasing Society (APS). Through APS she has been recognized as a Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) and a Certified Professional Purchasing Manager (CPPM). Renée’s next goal is becoming a Certified Green Purchasing Professional (CGPP).

Roman Kramarz, Engineering Manager

Roman Kramarz is a seasoned veteran of the sheet metal stamping and fabrication industry and joined CCM in 2008. Regularly working with cross-functional teams; he is able to balance a high work load and strives for superior measurable results even when faced with adversity. Roman has a thorough command of engineering skills including multiple CAD programs, as well as significant product development.

Roman possesses a (BSIE), and attended both Northern Illinois University (NIU) and Saint Mary’ University (SMU).

History

Integrating Value and Efficency Across the Supply Chain

1952- Craftsman Custom Metals, LLC was founded as Craftsman Sheet Metal, Inc. specializing in manufacturing quick turnaround sheet metal prototypes serving the Chicago area, predominately Motorola.

1975- The company name changed to Craftsman Custom Metal Fabricators, Inc. and began expanding its target markets, customer base, and manufacturing services to include production runs.

1990- The company merged with a local metal stamping company, greatly enhancing the company's breadth by being able to offer prototypes, fabrication, tool design and build, high-volume stampings, and complete mechanical assembly services.

1996- Craftsman Custom Metal Fabricators, Inc. was acquired by an investment group. This new sheet metal platform offered strategic regional coverage for current and prospective customers, and began the transition to Cellular Manufacturing dedicating personnel, capital equipment, and floor space to specific customers and/or products.

2001- On August 1, 2001, Julio Gesklin acquired the company back from the investment group and began operating as Craftsman Custom Metals, LLC under new ownership and with the return of former key personnel, to better serve current and prospective customers.

2002- Craftsman Custom Metals, LLC celebrates 50 years of providing high-quality products and services and completes the transition into a Work Cell environment. March 1, 2002, Craftsman Custom Metals, LLC acquires OCHS Industries of Vandalia, Ohio.

2007- CCM celebrates 55 years of providing High quality products and services to our Customers. CCM has added machining capabilities To fully serve the ever-changing product demands.

2012- Craftsman’s Custom Metals acquires thin metals business from Mayville Manufacturing.

2016- Craftsman’s Custom Metals adds full CNC Production capabilities.

Beckman-Coulter Cell Team
Beckman-Coulter Cell is a dedicated cell focusing on a low volume high mix product line. This cell has all the equipment necessary to produce these soft tooled products in a self contained cell. This cell is capable of producing over 600 different products in any given month depending on our customers order mix for that time period.

MCC Cell Team
MCC Cell is geared to the requirements of many customers using a unique system of mini-cells to produce both small and large volumes with various assembly requirements. This cell has both soft tooled and hard tooled capabilities and the flexibility to produce many different types of products.

NPI Cell Team
The NPI Cell is dedicated to the design, development and creation of production-grade, FAI prototypes and pilot builds. It is here that your design is proven and the beginning steps are taken to bring your product to market.

Alcatel/Lucent Team
Alcatel/Lucent Cell combines both soft tooling and hard tooling capabilities to produce the exact formula needed to produce our customer's mid-volume range requirements. Assembly is an important aspect for completion of these products to a level four integration and this cell has an assembly line designed to make sure the product is manufactured and tested in the correct configuration.

Craftsman Custom Metals is a ISO9001:2000 Certified company. Our facilities consist of 65,000sf located in Schiller Park, Illinois just 10 minutes from O’Hare International Airport.
